About Linqua

Linqua is an AI-powered English speaking coach operated by Steven Holmes. By using Linqua you agree to these terms. If you do not agree please do not use the service.

The service

Linqua provides AI-powered English speaking practice sessions and assessment reports. Sessions involve a face-to-face conversation with Dan, our AI English coach, followed by a structured assessment report.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when registering. You must be at least 18 years old to use Linqua.

Sessions and payments

The 2-minute taster session is free and requires no payment. Full 15-minute sessions are purchased individually at $9.99 per session. Sessions are non-refundable once started. If you experience a technical failure during a session that prevents completion please contact hello@linqua.ai and we will review your case.

Assessment accuracy

Linqua's assessments are provided by an AI coach and are intended as a helpful guide to your English speaking level. They are not formal qualifications and should not be used as a substitute for accredited assessments such as IELTS or Cambridge English examinations. Results may vary and are based on the content of each individual conversation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Linqua to attempt to manipulate or deceive the AI system
• Share your account with other users
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy any part of the service

Intellectual property

All content, technology and branding on Linqua is owned by Steven Holmes. Your session transcripts and reports belong to you.

Limitation of liability

Linqua is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or that assessments will be 100% accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linqua's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the session in question.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@linqua.ai.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Linqua after changes constitutes acceptance.
